Eurozone GDP Grew Twice as Much as Forecast in the Third Quarter
Eurozone GDP rose 0.4% in the third quarter of 2024 from the previous three months, according to a report by the European Union’s statistical office, which presented preliminary data.
In annual terms, the Eurozone economy grew by 0.9%.
According to Trading Economics data, experts on average estimate that GDP would grow by 0.2% quarterly and by 0.8% annually in July-September.
In the second quarter of this year, the Eurozone economy grew by 0.2% compared to the previous three months, and by 0.6% annually.
Germany’s GDP increased by 0.2% in the July-September quarter, France – by 0.4%, Spain – by 0.8%, Italy – unchanged.
The economy of the European Union grew by 0.3% compared to the previous three months, and by 0.9% in annual terms.
