The European Central Bank said after its September meeting that consumer prices in the eurozone will increase by 2.1% in 2025 and by 1.7% in 2026.
Three months ago, the regulator predicted the first indicator at 2%, and the second at 1.6%.
Inflation in 2027 is expected to be 1.9%, compared with a previous forecast of 2%.
The European Central Bank also raised its estimate of eurozone GDP growth this year from 0.9% to 1.2%. At the same time, expectations for next year were revised up to 1%, from a previously forecast of 1.1%.
The economic growth estimate for 2027 was confirmed at 1.3%.
