World’s Most Sustainable Economies by 2025

The Ranking of Corrupt Countries

The Hinrich Foundation has revealed the world’s most sustainable economies by 2025. The Sustainable Trade Index (STI) is an annual ranking of 30 selected global economies, developed in conjunction with the IMD World Competitiveness Center.

The United Kingdom took first place in the 2025 ranking, after holding second place in 2023 and 2024. It is noteworthy that it took the lead from New Zealand, which, accordingly, moved to second place.

Australia and Singapore retained their places on the list. The first of them is in 3rd position, and the second is in 4th position.

There are also significant changes in the ranking from 2024 to 2025. South Korea moved up from 7th to 5th place, Malaysia from 15th to 12th place, and Sri Lanka made one of the biggest jumps, moving from 26th to 20th place.

On the other hand, several countries fell down the list. Thailand moved from 12th to 15th place, Laos from 22nd to 25th place, and Myanmar, still embroiled in a civil war, fell from 27th to 30th place, replacing Russia, which held the position in 2023 and 2024. Russia is 29th on this year’s list.
